Jiggi CL Inc is a community-based, voluntary organisation located in northern NSW. We care for the land through sustainable Landcare practices.
The group operates in the Jiggi Creek catchment and more recently has turned the corner into the Goolmangar Creek catchments both are located in Northern
NSW.
The group has played a major role in raising awareness, influencing farming and land management practices and delivering environmental outcomes throughout the catchments and beyond.
The group accesses funding to assist landowners to care for their land. The work undertaken captures a range of activities such as soil conservation, management of erosion through revegetation of stream banks, threatened species protection, sustainable farm practices, restoration of native habitats and revegetation to enhance these habitats, control of weeds and environmental pests and the development of local natural resource management skills and knowledge.
As a group we work with farmers and private landholders who are already undertaking this important work but need some assistance to reach their goals.
Our focus is to look after 'our catchment' and partner with other Landcare and community groups to ensure a sustainable future for our catchments.
